Payton Update

She has been a ball of fun and the last 5 months have been stuffed full of joy with her around! Here are just a few of the things she has been up to and what she has been like!

She knows what she wants!



She loves to play outside!!

She likes to get dressed up and "go bye bye"



She likes to have fun!



She has a sense of humor!



She was a ladybug for Halloween and loved it!

When she wants to be picked up she says "Hold you" and it melts my heart!



She got her first haircut!



She has used the potty since she was 15 months but not consistantly! We have now started rewarding with M&Ms and I hope the new year will be free of diapers!



Payton LOVES having her nails painted and she loves to show it off. I have not done it much lately because she also puts her fingers in her mouth and the polish comes off very easily... I am sure that stuff is not all that good when eaten!



 We are loving every second of her being a part of our family! It is hard to remember what life was like before she was here! We sure do love you Sprink!

Austin Update!

 

Austin took some skate classes and then some learn to play hockey classes and now he is offically on his first hockey team! It is so much fun to go watch him play! He loves it!

He is the most amazing big brother! His sister just adores him and he is so good with her!

Austin was in a beach wedding! It was beautiful and he did so well! He was the hit of the party!



Austin had "summer hair" this year! This may be a tradition that he keeps each summer! He loved it!

He learned how to climb a tree! He is a little monkey! (Can you see him up there?!)

Austin also started first grade and is reading and writing and all that good stuff! He is my little man! It is amazing to watch him grow but I fear he is growing too fast! We love you Duddy!

August 13th

Austin turned 6!! We had a great party planned! We decided to have an outdoor party with lots of water activities (pools, slip and slides, and even a giant inflatable water slide!) But I do not have much luck with outdoor parties! You may recall Payton's party was moved inside to a different location due to a TORNADO!  Austin's party was moved inside our house for a little bit while a massive rain storm went by! Here are some photos from that day!

All in all the birthday party was a blast! Can not believe my boy is 6 already!

No more readers!

I am sure I have no more readers! But I wanted to let you all know that we didn't stay on vacation at the beach. (A tiny bit of me thought that if maybe my blog stayed at the beach then we would still be there!) But alas we are here in the real world 2-3 hours from any beach! I am enjoying the warm weather! It is only 3 days until Christmas and it is supposed to be 63 degrees today and 72 tomorrow! It may not feel like Christmas but I am ok with that! It sure does feel like Christmas in my heart! My family will start to arrive tomorrow! My plan is to really clean up around the house so that the rest of the vacation can be spent enjoying my family. But... with this being the first day of break there is a small part of me that knows I will not be as productive as I would like to be! Here is a sweet photo of the kids with Santa this year. (I am in the photo because that was the only way we were going to get Payton near Santa.) She is very interested in him and calls him "Hinta" but she would much rather keep her distance! You can see the uneasy look on her face!

I will try to do a quick catch up on what has happened over the last 5 months since I stopped blogging! So check back this week for new updates!

Payton's Trip

This was Payton's second trip to the ocean... but the first time she could move around and enjoy it! And did she ever enjoy it! She loved the sand and the water. If you put her down she would crawl right into the water. Once she hit the water she would just keep crawling straight into the ocean. If you grabbed her to pull her up so that she would not get washed away she would scream! Here are some pictures of her time on HHI:

Austin's Vacation

Austin had a great time at the beach! Here is what he did while he was at Hilton Head!

He caught fish in nets and held them!

He swam like a fish in the ocean!

He posed for pictures!

He held an alligator (or croc... not sure what the difference is!)

He helped me hold the big one!

Aren't they cute?!

Made friends with and played with every single kid on the island!

He had such a great time he slept the whole way home!
